How To Cook Perfect Bacon

Step 1. Put That Bacon on The Pan

Place your bacon strips on a foil-lined baking sheet for easy cleanup. Need to squeeze in more strips? It’s fine to slightly overlap them—just keep it minimal (about 1/4″ max) so they still cook evenly.

Step 2. A Cold Oven

Slide that pan into a cold oven. That’s right—don’t preheat. Set your oven to 350°F and your timer to 25 minutes. Starting cold helps render the fat slowly, resulting in crisp, evenly cooked bacon.

Step 3. Is It Done Yet?

At 25 minutes, take a peek If you like softer, melt-in-your-mouth bacon, the sweet spot is usually around 30 minutes total. For ultra-crispy lovers, leave it in a bit longer—just watch closely to avoid burning.

Not using thick cut?

Reduce time 5-10 minutes.
